Qualifcations
- At least 35 years of age
- Must be a natural born citizen
- Must have lived in the U.S. for 14 years prior
- All former president have been a congressman or a governor, mayor, etc.
- Being a member of a major political party greatly improves the candidate's chance of winning
- The president is chosen by the electoral college after the popular vote, which means that the people choose the candidate they want the electors to vote for and they choose the president
